Grants & Scholarships

Ribbon Cutting at Patoka Elementary

The CFCC’s community grant program reflects the needs of the community.  The CFCC maintains an effective relationship as grantor, and community organizations (as grantees), which is based on mutual respect and partnership. Since 1998 the CFCC has awarded over $5.5million in programming/grants and scholarships.

The CFCC operates a broad grants program which includes awards from the CFCC discretionary resources through open, competitive processes that address as the changing needs of the community; grant impact to affect sub-sectors of the community’s public needs, and making awards that are a complement to other community resources.  Recently the CFCC Board has focused grant making on educational attainment, children and youth, and workforce development.

Grantees are required to provide ongoing status reports.  CFCC Board members are assigned grant projects to mentor.  Additionally, grantees are required to report on the actual outcomes of the funding versus the original anticipated outcomes.
